| 計劃摘要 : The impact of Alzheimer's disease and depression on the caregivers is hard to overestimate. In many countries, a substantial propotion of the total costs of dementia care are absorbed by family caregivers for patients at home. Fatigure is a unique symptom which is a part of many acute and chronic health conditions. Fatigue is also part of many stressful life events that are not directly related to health problems, suc as with an informal caregiving role. Despite the uncertainty in the etiology, persistent fatigue interferes with functional capacity in caregiving and quality of life reported by family caregivers. There is little research focusing on family caregiving fatigue and its relationship with the depressive symptoms of family caregivers. This project aims to better understand the family caregiving fatigue and explore its relationship with depression experienced by family caregivers to dementia and geriatric depression sufferers. |
