Introduction

The student association of the nursing department is the public club that most nursing students join, and it has 15 leaders, including a director, vice directors (2 people), an executive secretary, leaders of event planning (2 people), leaders of public relations (2 people), leaders of general affairs (2 people), a leader of artistic design, a leader of the living, a leader of equipment, a leader of photography, and a leader of sport activity. Each class, except for the association’s leaders, selects a member of control to monitor the operation of the student association and provide constructive suggestions for its activities. The association holds many events every year, including a forum for new students and their parents, orientation camp, meetings among members of control at the beginning and end of each semester, nursing week, night of nursing, general meetings of members, big parties at the beginning and end of each semester, a graduation ceremony, prom night, and leadership training camp. The association also holds several public benefit activities, such as beach cleanup, autism camp, and volunteering in a nursing home. Moreover, the association of nursing department also attends the events sponsored by the medical college to promote the relationships with other medical students. Two years ago, the association started to hold nursing camp during winter break for senior high school students so they could have an opportunity to understand Chang Gung University and the nursing department.

Aims

1. To develop members’ capabilities of self-government and democratic thoughts, and to promote members’ rights.
2. To hold academic and recreational activities regularly to enrich members’ school lives.
3. To be the link between the school and members and to strive for increasing members’ rights and welfare.
4. To promote the relationships between faculty members and members.
5. To enhance members’ professional nursing knowledge and work hard in nursing research.
6. To disseminate nursing beliefs and share the spirit of caring.

• Activity schedule of the first semester in 2020
• The forum for new students and their parents will be held on 09/05/2020.
• The orientation camp will be held with the department of electrical engineering from 09/11/2020 to 09/13/2020.
• The association is now recruiting volunteers for the national nursing department’s border cup champion (IG: @cgu_nurcup_2021).
• The association is now recruiting members who might be interested in the camp for training the leaders of the ninth session’s nursing camp.

The student association of the nursing department has been selected as the best public club in Chang Gung University for several years.
