Master Program

Additional application materials:

  1. A copy of Bachelor of Science in Nursing diploma (BSN)
  2. A copy of study plan
  3. Research proposal
  4. Curriculum vitae (including working experience and position)
  5. Academic publications
  6. Steering Committee for the Test of Proficiency-Huayu (SC-TOP) TOCFL Level 3
  7. Proof of Mandarin Proficiency
    • TOEFL score of 500 (inclusive) or above.
    • Computer TOEFL score of 173 (inclusive) or above.
    • Internet TOEFL score of 61 (inclusive) or above.
    • The average score of the Foreign Language Proficiency Test (FLPT-English) is 65 (inclusive) or above.
    • IELTS level 5 (inclusive) or above.
    • TOEIC 600 points or above.
    • Cambridge Lingua skill English test (Lingua skill) 145 points (inclusive) or above. (Formerly Cambridge Booz International Workplace British inspection)

Remarks:

  1. Registered nurse license from your country is required at admission.
  2. At least one year clinical or nursing teaching experience.
  3. An interview may be needed and will be notified by the department.
  4. The Taiwan registered nurse license has to be obtained before taking clinical practicum courses.
  5. This program provides sufficient courses in English to meet the graduation requirements.

Accommodation Fee Reduction or Exemption:

All international students studying in master's program (students on exchange or short-term visit are excluded) are eligible for fee waiver or reduction for accommodation in on-campus dormitories.

Teaching or Research Assistantships:

  1. International students studying at CGU may apply for teaching assistant (TA) or research assistant (RA) positions and receive salaries as a way of funding.
  2. Salaries:
    • RA positions for students in master’s programs: NT$4,000 – 12,000 per month
    • TA positions: NT$8,000 – 10,000 per month
